Installing your eSIM takes 1–2 minutes. Pick your device below.

📷 Option 1 — Scan the QR code (fastest)
Step 1: Install the eSIM
- 1Go to Settings > Cellular > Add eSIM > Use QR Code.
- 2Scan the QR code from another device or a printout — wait for the next step. Select Continue until activation starts.
- 3Wait while the eSIM activates (don't exit — it may take a few minutes).
- 4Select Done. If prompted, choose a label to tell this eSIM apart from your other SIMs.
- 5Select “Primary” as your default line, and for iMessage/FaceTime if asked.
⌨️ Option 2 — Enter manually (if you can't scan the QR)
Step 1: Install the eSIM
- 1Go to Settings > Cellular > Add eSIM > Use QR Code > Enter Details Manually.
- 2Enter the SM-DP+ Address and Activation Code (in your eSIM email) — wait for the next step.
- 3Select Continue until activation starts, then wait while the eSIM activates.
- 4Select Done. Choose a label and set “Primary” as your default line as above.
📶 Turn on data when you arrive
Step 2: Access data
- 1Settings > Cellular > select your new eSIM > enable “Turn On This Line”.
- 2Settings > Cellular > Cellular Data > select your new eSIM.
- 3Disable “Allow Cellular Data Switching”.
- 4Enable “Data Roaming” for the new eSIM. (No extra charge — your plan already includes data.)
💡 Important notes
- •Install the eSIM while on Wi-Fi (before you fly). Validity only starts when the eSIM connects to a network at your destination.
- •Keep your primary SIM for OTPs; only turn DATA on for the eSIM.
- •If you're reading this on the same phone the eSIM is for (can't scan the QR), use Option 2 — enter the SM-DP+ and activation code by hand.
- •Each QR code can be installed only once, on one device.
